What is a hybrid veterinary exam?
A hybrid veterinary exam is a single appointment in which a veterinary technician attends your home in person while the veterinarian joins by live video. The technician carries out the physical examination and runs diagnostics on board — blood panels, urinalysis, digital X-ray and ultrasound — while Dr. Cameron Jones, DVM assesses your pet in real time, interprets results during the visit, and builds the care plan with you before the appointment ends. It is not a video consult, and it is not a standard house call: it is a vet tech and your veterinarian working the same appointment, with a mobile hospital parked outside.
How a hybrid vet exam works

The technician arrives and examines your pet
A veterinary technician comes to your home with the mobile hospital and carries out the hands-on work — weight, temperature, heart and lungs, coat and skin, and anything you have specifically asked about. Where diagnostics are needed, samples are drawn and run on board, and digital X-ray or ultrasound happens on the spot. Your pet stays in the room they already feel safe in.
Veterinarian joins live and directs the exam
During that same visit, Dr. Cameron Jones connects by video. She sees your pet, hears findings as they happen, reads lab and imaging results as they come back, and can direct the technician to look closer at anything that needs it — while you are standing right there.
You agree the plan before anyone leaves
You, the technician and the veterinarian talk through what was found and what happens next. Questions get answered in the moment, and treatment can often begin in the same visit — rather than in a voicemail three hours later.
