Ever since I can remember, I’ve had an insatiable passion for veterinary medicine—before I could even pronounce the word! I earned my veterinary degree from Ross University in picturesque St. Kitts and honed my clinical skills at Purdue University. Settling in Jacksonville, Florida, I bought a small animal emergency hospital and expanded it into a 24-hour facility with general practice over 17 fruitful years. To broaden my medical approach, I trained in acupuncture, Eastern medicine, and food therapy.  Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud parent to my son and proud pet parent to Happy, a Malshipoo; Chewie, a Yorkshire Terrier; Tiki Saurus-Wrecks, a Pionus parrot and Roxie, a cat!

My Story

In my varied career across emergency settings, referral specialty centers, and general practices, one thing remains the same, pets are stressed or overly excited, and the pace is quick and leaves little time to truly support the owner.

This practice is not just about treating pets; it’s about understanding them in their environment and completely supporting their owners to provide the kind of care that I take of my dog, Happy. With over twenty years of experience and training in Eastern and Western medicine techniques, I offer a comprehensive approach to pet health.

At the heart of my service is a deep-rooted passion for technology and education. I believe in empowering pet owners with knowledge and understanding of their furry family members’ needs. Witnessing the struggle of dedicated owners trying to help their pets without the right tools has driven me to innovate.

By offering home visits, I aim to reduce the stress on pets by examining them in their familiar surroundings. I document their physical health with videos and images, in a digital exam, providing a clear reference for future care. In addition, my approach includes virtual support and the use of advanced technology, like the Maven collar, to monitor pets’ activity levels around the clock.

My mission is to bridge the gap between pet owners’ efforts and effective pet care, ensuring that every pet receives the love and attention they deserve, in the comfort of their own home.
